Beach guide
Beaches on Malta
Malta, the main island, has most of the country's beaches. The big sandy bays are in the north and north-west, around Mellieħa and Għajn Tuffieħa; Sliema, St Julian's and Buġibba swim from rocks and ladders; and the south has quiet rocky coves like St Peter's Pool and Wied iż-Żurrieq.
Because the coasts face every direction, there is almost always a calm beach somewhere on Malta. Here is every one we cover, starting with the favourites, with its conditions right now.
Sea conditions update every hour.
