Getting there
Qarraba lies on the north-west coast between Għajn Tuffieħa (Riviera) and Ġnejna, below Mġarr. There is no road down: most people park at Għajn Tuffieħa or Golden Bay and walk over the headland, then down a steep, loose path on the clay slopes. The 101 bus stops at Riviera and 44 ends at Tuffieħa, both a walk from the start of the path.
Parking
There is no parking at the bay itself. Use the car parks at Għajn Tuffieħa or Golden Bay, which fill early on summer days.
Good to know
A small, wild cove with reddish sand and no facilities at all, so bring water, food and shade. The descent is steep and slippery, so wear proper shoes and skip it with small children. It is quiet compared to its neighbours and makes a good stop on the coastal walk from Golden Bay to Ġnejna, especially outside the hot months.
