Visiting Exiles

Getting there

Exiles is on Tower Road, on the Sliema seafront towards St Julian's. Buses 13, 13A and 14 run along the Sliema front, and there is a bus stop called Exiles nearby. You get into the sea down ladders and slipways along the rocky edge.

Parking

Parking in Sliema is hard to find in summer. The bus or walking along the front is usually easier.

Good to know

Exiles is a rocky spot with flat platforms, ladders and deep, clear water, so you can get in and out easily even when there is a bit of swell. There is a lido, a snack bar, a restaurant and a dive shack, and divers head out from here to the reefs and the Tug 2, a tugboat scuttled in 2013. It suits adults and confident swimmers who want a city swim with food and drinks nearby.
