Two former harbour tugs, St Michael and Tug 10, lie off Żonqor Point on the north side of the entrance to Marsaskala Bay. Both had served in Grand Harbour and were donated by a local shipyard, then scuttled together on 16 May 1998 to create an artificial reef. St Michael is a 20-metre Tanac-class tug built in Canada in 1944; Tug 10 is a smaller 16-metre tug thought to have been built in Malta.

Both sit upright on flat sand about 50 metres apart, with St Michael at about 22 metres and Tug 10 resting against the foot of the reef. They are now covered in sponges and corals and attract nudibranchs, moray eels and the occasional octopus. St Michael’s cabin was destroyed in a winter storm in 2025.

The site is a shore dive with a short swim out from Żonqor Point. Visibility in the bay is often poorer than elsewhere, so the wrecks can be hard to find.
