Offering views of Gozo and Comino, Little Armier is still a very popular swimming spot for tourists and locals alike. Despite it being relatively less popular than the two major beaches in Malta (Mellieha Bay and Golden Bay), this inlet in the northern part of the island makes for a decent swim. ↵
↵Nowadays the area is well equipped with services for tourists. Amenities, food, drinks and a number of kiosks even offer the service of kayak hire. The area is accessible by car. Sea is generally calm but watch out for the occasional north wind which makes the sea a little rough. ↵

Getting there
From Mellieħa, drive past Għadira and up the ridge towards Ċirkewwa, then take the right turn signed Armier and follow the road to the end; Little Armier is a short walk east of Armier Bay. In summer, bus 49 runs to the Armier stop near the beach. Off-season, the nearest buses (41, 42, 101, 221, 222) stop on the main Ċirkewwa road, a walk of a few kilometres.
Parking
There is a large unpaved parking area by the beach, plus Blue Badge spaces. It rarely fills on weekdays, but on summer weekends local families arrive early, so get there in the morning.
Good to know
A small sandy cove looking across to Comino, with calm, shallow water most days, which suits families. Beach clubs and kiosks cover food, drinks, sunbeds and kayak hire in summer, and beach wheelchairs and walkways are listed. Northerly winds can make the sea rough, and there is little natural shade.
