Santa Maria Bay

The island of Comino is home to some of the best swimming spots in the Maltese archipelago. Being among the most popular makes it crowded, especially in summer. Still, many tourists normally head straight to the world famous Blue Lagoon, so chances are Santa Maria bay might be a little less crowded.

Santa Maria Bay has crystal clear waters and being a beach, the spot is very famous for families and friends wanting to lay down a towel and get a nice tan, all the while soaking in incredible views. The sea here is generally calm and safe to swim.

The area of Santa Maria, like all of Comino, is popular even in the colder months. In fact the island is a great place to do some cliff trekking and in the meantime, you get to explore some secluded beaches or little inlets with incredibly clear water.
